College Station Association of Neighborhoods
About Us
The College Station Association of Neighborhoods (CSAN) is a non-partisan, General Purpose Political Action Committee (GPAC) registered with the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC Filing ID 00082065), committed to smart growth, neighborhood preservation and being part of the processes and decisions impacting our city. CSAN formed in September 2017 to address issues of neighborhood integrity and registered as a GPAC in 2019. As in other cities where growth is increasing at a rapid pace, our residents are struggling to retain the quality of life they once enjoyed in their neighborhoods.
While change and growth are expected and can be good for a thriving community, in recent years, the city has approved a proliferation of "stealth dorms" and numerous rezoning/development projects without adequately considering the immediate or long-term effects to neighborhoods. CSANs goal is to ensure that neighborhood integrity remains in front of College Station city government when making important decisions that impact our neighborhoods and the quality of life in our community.
